Privacy for free learner accounts

The learning materials on this site are free and available without an account. A free account is optional and lets you keep track of your progress and earn a certificate of completion.

What we collect

Your first name, last name, email address and organization or school, from the sign-up form.
Which learning resources you have opened, with the date, so we can show your progress.
Whether you asked to receive news about the official certification.
Certificates of completion issued to you (name, date and certificate ID).

How we use it

To sign you in with a one-time email link and show your progress on any device.
To issue and verify your certificate of completion. Anyone with your certificate link can see the name and date printed on it.
To understand, in aggregate, how learners use the Lean House so we can improve it.
To email you about the official certification only if you ticked that box.

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. It is stored with our database provider, Supabase, and only the Tiger Motors Lean Education Center team can see learner records.

Site visits

We count visits to the site with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or follow you to other sites; it only shows us totals, such as how many pages were viewed and from which countries, never who you are.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. To correct your details, stop certification emails, or delete your account and progress, email leanmanufacturingteam@eng.auburn.edu.
